San Miguel market combine traditional grocery shopping and gastronomy. when you'll get there just walk through the numerous fruit and vegetables or have a cold drink at one of the bars located within.
Great location
The market is located a few meters away from Plaza Mayor. the cast iron structure built in 1916 and has been one of Madrid's claims to gastronomic fame over the last few years.
My recommendation: eat the BOCATA DE CALAMARES!
The secret of Madrid's iconic calamari sandwich is in the simplicity: battered fried squid rings placed in bread!
